In 2024, many relevant documents and regulations will be formally implemented. Below, the author combed some of the more concerned about the industry's new rules to share with you.

On January 1, 2024, according to the "Regulations on the Administration of Group Standards" (National Standard Committee (2019) No. 1), "Measures for the Administration of Group Standards of Fujian Plastics Industry Association (Trial)" and "Procedures for the Revision of Group Standards of Fujian Plastics Industry Association" and other relevant regulations, the group standard T/FJSX 0001-2023 "Double Hot Melt Plastic Steel Lining Integrated Reinforcement Pipe" of Fujian Plastics Industry Association has been formally implemented.

Since January 1, 2024, the regulations on prohibiting and restricting non-degradable disposable plastic products in Henan Province have been formally implemented. The regulations make it clear that the production, sales and use of some non-degradable disposable plastic products, such as disposable non-degradable plastic bags, tableware, express packaging, etc., will be prohibited and restricted throughout Henan Province. Non-degradable plastic bags, disposable plastic tableware and other 11 categories of plastic products will be banned.

On December 27, 2023, the Catalogue for the Guidance of Industrial Structure Adjustment (2024 Edition) was published and will come into force on February 1, 2024. The Industrial Structure Adjustment Guidance Catalogue (2019 Edition) shall be abolished at the same time. Public information shows that the Catalogue (2024 Edition) consists of three types of catalogs: encouragement, restriction and elimination. There are 1005 entries, including 352 encouraged, 231 restricted and 422 eliminated. It is reported that in the three catalogues, there are a large number of contents about plastic recycling, including high-strength composite plastics, composite fibers and lightweight applications of bio-based composites.

On August 16, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved 412 industry standards such as "Industrial Conductive and Antistatic Rubber. Among them, 30 rubber industry standards will be implemented from February 1, 2024.

On August 6, 2023, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the State Standardization Administration issued a notice (No. 7 of 2023), approved by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration (State Standardization Administration), 431 recommended national standards and 2 national standard amendments have been implemented since August 6, 2023, including 23 national standards for the plastics industry.
